Al elaborar la Planificación Misionera Global nos hemos sentido llamadas como Instituto a vivir la UNICA MISIÓN, respondiendo a los desafíos de nuestro mundo de hoy.
Queremos caminar juntas con las siguientes PRIORIDADES:
Recrear nuestra espiritualidad MMB, de la Misión Hoy
Vivir nuestras presencias y acciones misioneras en diálogo con los pobres, las culturas, las religiones, al Tierra y el Universo.
Seguir compartiendo con todos/todas nuestro Carisma Misionero Liberador.
Sentimos la urgencia de promover y fortalecer una mayor interdependencia a nivel Instituto.
Hemos decidido hacer una opción especial por CHINA CONTINENTAL Y AFRICA
COMISIÓN CENTRAL
Las hermanas que en estos seis años, acompañaran la vida y el caminar de nuestras Regiones y Zonas, desde las orientaciones de este capítulo son:

A todas las personas que de diferentes maneras nos han hecho sentir su cariño, apoyo y cercanía. Que nuestro Dios de la vida, siga acompañando y fortaleciendo nuestra vida entregada en fidelidad a su proyecto.

OUR GLOBAL MISSIONARY PLAN
To elaborate the Global Missionary Plan we have felt, called as Institute, to live out the UNIQUE MISSION, as a response to the challenges of today’s world
We desire to walk together with the following PRIORITIES:
Recreate our MMB Mission Spirituality today
To live our presences and missionary actions in dialogue with the poor, the cultures, the religions, the Earth and the Universe.
To continue sharing with all our Missionary Liberating Charism.
We feel the urgency to promote and strengthen the interdependency at Institute level.
We have decided to make an special option for CONTINENTAL CHINA AND AFRICA
CENTRAL COMMISSION
The Sisters who will accompany us in our Regions and Zones the following six years according to the Chapter orientations:

OUR GRATITUDE
Our deepest gratitude to the Sisters and communities throughout the whole world, to the MMB Laity, to the peoples with whom we share life, all of whom have accompanied us throughout our journey in prayer.
To all the persons, who in different ways, have transmitted their closeness and support.
May the God of life continue accompanying and strengthening our gift of life to others and in our fidelity to the Kingdom.

VAMOS AVANZANDO…
Estos días, estamos trabajando en comisiones: Justicia y Paz e Integridad de la Creación, laicos MMB, Administración, y otros.
En el tema de la JPIC, tomamos conciencia que en medio de los muchos retos que nos presenta la realidad, va naciendo un mundo nuevo… donde descubrimos brotes de vida, de que ese OTRO MUNDO ES POSIBLE. Creemos que “el porvenir está en la Solidaridad de Hoy”.
En cuanto a la Administración, vamos integrando nuestra Espiritualidad Mercedaria Liberadora en la línea de JPIC. La economía al servicio de la vida y de ir creando fraternidad, donde se haga presente el Proyecto de Dios. Queremos seguir orientando nuestras inversiones, hacia una Banca Ética e Inversiones Socialmente Responsables.
En el proceso de ir ampliando nuestra familia MMB con los laicos, una vez más, afirmamos que el caminar con ellos, es una respuesta a los “signos de los tiempos" y una oportunidad para compartir nuestro Carisma MMB con otros/as.

WE CONTINUE JOURNEYING…
These days we have been working in commissions: Justice and Peace and Integrity of Creation, MMB Laity, Administration and others.
With the JPIC theme, we are becoming more conscious that in the midst of so many challenges in today’s world, something new is coming into being… where we are discovering new signs of life, that Another World is possible. We believe that the “future is in Today’s Solidarity”
In Administration, we are integrating our MMB Spirituality, which is liberating, with the JPIC. Our finances (economy) is in the service of giving life, creating fraternity, where God’s Project is made present. We want to continue investing our resources in Ethical Banks and in Socially Responsible Investment Funds.
In the process of broadening our MMB family with the Laity, once more, we affirm that walking with them is a response to the signs of the times, and an opportunity to share our MMB Charism

with others.

SEGUIMOS AVANZANDO EN NUESTRO CAPITULO GENERAL MMB
Acompañadas por nuestras comunidades y pueblos; seguimos caminando en actitud de búsqueda, escucha y apertura al Espíritu, para ir dando respuesta a la misión MMB hoy, en los diferentes lugares donde compartimos la vida.
Después de un día de silencio, discernimiento y oración, con gran alegría hemos elegido a nuestra Coordinadora General: Amelia Kawaji será la hermana que nos seguirá acompañando en este servicio.

WE CONTINUE ADVANCING IN OUR GENERAL CHAPTER MMB
Accompanied by our communities and peoples, we continue journeying, with an attitude of searching, listening and openness to the Spirit, in order to give an answer to the MMB mission today, in the different places where we share our life
After a day of silence, discernment and prayer, with a great joy we have elected our General Coordinator: Amelia Kawaji will accompany us in this service for the next six years.

SEGUIMOS CAMINANDO EN NUESTRO CAPITULO GENERAL MMB

Con gran alegría y esperanza hemos compartido estos días la realidad de las diferentes Regiones de nuestro Instituto. Vemos que Dios sigue acompañando nuestro caminar y que la semilla que plantó la M. Margarita aquí en Bérriz sigue creciendo y teniendo vida en los pueblos donde estamos: como el grano de mostaza, como la levadura en la masa…
Desde nuestra realidad y en actitud de búsqueda, nos hemos asomado al tema de la Reestructuración del Instituto, que lo seguiremos retomando…
La Justicia, Paz e Integridad de la Creación va tomando fuerza y va siendo un aspecto muy significativo en nuestra vida, “un estilo de vida"

El caminar con los Laicos MMB va revitalizando y enriqueciendo nuestra vida.
Entre todas, desde la búsqueda y la escucha vamos dando forma y contenido a nuestro documento: “Convocadas a recrear la espiritualidad de la Misión Hoy: en dialogo con los pobres, la culturas, las religiones, la Tierra y el universo”.

WE CONTINUE JOURNEYING IN OUR MMB GENERAL CHAPTER
It has been with great joy and hope that we have shared the realities of the different Regions of our Institute these past days. We have seen that God continues to accompany us in our journey and that the seed planted by M. Margarita here in Berriz continues growing and having life in the nations where we are present…as a grain of mustard seed, as leaven in the dough…
From our reality and with an attitude of communal search we have begun looking at the theme of the Restructuring of the Institute…and we will take it up again later…
Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation is becoming stronger within us and is going to be a very significant aspect of our life, “ a way of life”.
Our journey with the MMB Laity is revitalizing and enriching our life.
Among us all, from the point of view of listening and searching together, we are giving form and content to our document, “ Called together to recreate a spirituality of Mission Today: in dialogue with the poor, cultures, the Earth, the universe"

SEGUIMOS COMPARTIENDO EL CAMINO
QUE VAMOS HACIENDO EN EL
XIV CAPITULO GENERAL MMB
Estamos reunidas 29 mujeres, ciudadanas del mundo, Mujeres de Dios en búsqueda…un grupo pequeño y sencillo, mujeres llenas de sueños y esperanzas, dispuestas a escuchar, escucharnos unas a otras, una escucha preñada de respeto y acogida, ayudándonos unas a otras, creando entre todas un ambiente de familia, de paz, de unión. Son palabras que Amelia Kawaji compartió en la sesión de apertura al Capítulo General.
TRES DIAS DE REFLEXION, PROFUNDIZACION Y ENRIQUECIMIENTO
Después de la Eucaristía de Apertura; los días 7, 8 y 9 de Julio se han tenido 3 días de profundización sobre los temas centrales de este capítulo: 1. La Espiritualidad de la Misión: en diálogo con los pobres y las culturas; presentado por Ricardo de Luis (P: Dominico)

2. El Diálogo con las Religiones

presentado por Rafael Esteban (P. Blanco)

3. Diálogo con Creación y el Universo; presentado por Gearoid Francisco O´Conaire. (Franciscano)

A CONTINUED SHARING OF THE JOURNEY WE ARE ON DURING THE MMB XIV GENERAL CHAPTER
We are 29 women, citizens of the world, Women of God searching together…a small and simple group, yet filled with hopes and dreams. We are ready to listen… to listen to one another, the kind of listening that is pregnant with respect and openness, helping one another mutually thus creating a family atmosphere of peace and unity. These are some of the words Amelia Kawaji shared with us during the opening session of the General Chapter.
THREE DAYS OF REFLECTION, DEEPING AND ENRICHMENT
After the Opening Eucharist, the following three days, July 7,8,9, were days of deepening on the central themes of this Chapter:
1. The Spirituality of Mission: dialogue with the poor and cultures …presented by Ricardo de Luis, a Dominican.
2. Inter-religious Dialogue … presented by Rafael Esteban, a White Father
3. Dialogue with Creation and the Universe… presented by Gearoid Francisco O’Conaire, a Franciscan

Apertura del Capítulo

“Convocadas a recrear la espiritualidad de la Misión Hoy: en diálogo con los pobres, las culturas, las religiones, la tierra y el universo”...es el Enfoque

del Capítulo General de las Mercedarias Misioneras de Bérriz.

Bérriz, la tierra donde nacieron las MMB, es el lugar que acoge a hermanas del Congo, México, Micronesia, Filipinas, Taiwán, Japón, Estados Unidos, Perú y España para celebrar su Capítulo General.

Todas ellas, 35 HH en total, están reunidas

desde el día 4 de Julio, dispuestas a hacer un camino de búsqueda juntas,

para recrear la Misión Hoy, en los diferentes lugares donde se encuentran.

Como preparación,

han tenido dos días de oración,

animadas por Giselle Gómez,

de la congregación de la

Compañía de Santa Teresa.

Hoy, domingo 6, a las 4 de la tarde hemos tenido la Apertura Oficial del Capítulo. A continuación la Eucaristía, presidida por D. Karmelo Etxenagusia, Obispo emérito de Bilbao,

con la participación de las hermanas de las comunidades cercanas a Bérriz.

"Called together to recreate a spirituality of Mission Today: in dialogue with the poor, cultures, religions, the Earth and the Universe" ...is the Focus that brings together the Mercedarian Missionaries of Berriz in their General Chapter.
Berriz, the land where the MMB's were born, is the place that has welcomed sisters from the Congo, Mexico, Micronesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Peru and Spain to celebrate the General Chapter.
All the sisters, in total 35, who arrived on July 4th, are ready to journey together in order to recreate Mission Today in their diverse mission places.
As a preparation for this journey, they have had two days of prayer, facilitated by Giselle Gomez, a member of the Company of Saint Teresa.
Today, Sunday July 6, at 4:00 we had the Opening of the Chapter, followed by the Eucharist, celebrated by Don Karmelo Etxenagusia, Bishop Emeritus of Bilbao, with the participation of the sisters from the MMB communities residing close to Berriz.
